We urge families, staff, and community members to contact our state legislators to advocate for the EEU Kindergarten Program by Friday, Jan. 29. Several dozen EEU supporters protested at Wednesday's school board meeting to voice our collective indignation over SPS's continued inaction in resolving the defunding of EEU kindergarten. SPS administrators have defied their own school board (which continues to fully support EEU K) and the community they are supposed to serve in failing to address the issue with a sense of urgency. We are now looking beyond SPS to help resolve this issue. We are asking all stakeholders and supporters to contact state legislators to alert them to the gross injustice affecting their constituents and ramp up the pressure on SPS to seek a fair solution.
