My fellow supporters,

We have now reached 241 signatures, which is the same number of total signatures my US election reform petition had at the start of the year (having now grown to the current total 253 signatures) and hope to reach 300 signatures before that one ever does.

The reason for the slow growth and low  signature counts of both my Surbiton Station petition and the US election reform campaign, having only 246 and 253 signatures despite both petitions being created in 2024 was due to myself focusing on my previous  successful campaign while I was simultaneously running which ended up with a total of 1,569 signatures (and despite not having social media accounts myself, I ended up with 22 signatures from WhatsApp and 10 signatures from Facebook according to my petition dashboard because it became a trending topic towards the conclusion of the campaign, with supporters chipping in to promote the cause + a similar parallel campaign created on the platform).

As per my previous campaign updates, the 'Local' and 'National' scope settings under my new proposed system need to be properly geofenced to the correct audiences in order for causes like national law changes and hyper-local issue to win, however it should be THE PETITION STARTER'S CHOICE to choose those boundaries and choose where the paid promotional ads need to be geofenced to, not automated IP tracking.

The 'Local' setting should give three options; county, borough or post/zip code to distribute promotional ads to, for example you could choose either 'Greater London' distributing ads to all over Greater London, 'Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames' generating ads to that specific borough or 'KT3' for instance to tightly restrict promotional ads to users in New Malden.

The 'National' setting should come with a drop-down menu to choose a specific country to distribute ads to, with the option of choosing a state or constituent country (for example Normandy in France, Bavaria in Germany, South Dakota in the US or Northern Ireland in the UK).

Much like the promotion tool promotions, sharing should also be completely disabled on petitions marked as Closed, declared a Victory or my proposed Failed setting.

Passing 253 signatures on this campaign will literally feel like a "geofencing bereavement anniversary", in the sense that I am surpassing the signature count of  a campaign locked to completely the wrong audience, much like the anniversary of the death of a loved one.

Wr are so nearly there, and I think this is the first petition of such kind (a petition about change.org itself) to ever reach a 250-signature milestone.

My main Easter date campaign meanwhile is sitting comfortably at 620 signatures, and I am waiting to see if my latest supporters who I have hopefully rallied will share it on international feeds.

Will post my next official update when we do reach the symbolic milestone (keeping to the unfair strict update rule of course).

Ro---- Miles Ash----- (Mr. Easter)
