Our "protest petition" has now become the campaign of campaigns - 225 signatures!

Our "campaign of campaigns" has reached 225 signatures, so we are (potentially) just one £25 chip in away from our next goals of 246 and 253 signatures. Just like I added Orthodox holiday recognition as an additional secondary goal to my main "Earliest Easter Campaign", this is now a multi-cause platform improvement campaign that extends beyond geofencing and the 3-email-per-week cap.
The changes I want change.org to implement so far are as follows:
Geographical scope settings - Any campaign set to a 'Local' scope must be geofenced to users the chosen borough or county during paid promotional ads (i.e, you can select 'Greater London' or just 'Kingston-upon-Thames').
Any campaign set to a 'National' scope setting must have a drop-down menu and the ads must be shown to users in that specific country. If a user in the US wants to change a UK law such as lowering the state pension age to 50 and abolishing it for the terminally ill and then selects 'National - United Kingdom', they should have the option to target the entire UK or just one of the constituent countries (i.e. Wales).
Any campaign set to a 'Global' scope must be displayed on user feeds worldwide (not excluding the users home country) and automatically translated to the correct language for those users.
A live geographical breakdown display next to the signature counter so creators know where their support is coming from in real time, with CSV spreadsheets supplementary and immediately downloadable after a campaign is created.
Vocabulary changes - on petition pages marked as 'closed', the present tense must be used, to show browsers that 'petition closed' is not permanent. The call-to-action button on any change.org should read "Sign Campaign" because everyone who signs becomes a member of a large campaign!
When a creator pays to promote their own page, the system should say "you have paid £18 to promote your campaign" and it should be advertised on the home page as "promoted by the creator +5 supporters" is a campaigner promotes their own campaign and 5 other supporters.
Scrapping the three email weekly cap - This must be removed to give campaign creators without social media accounts a fair chance of communicating with subscribed supporters or when signature momentum stalls, as users without social media currently cannot (usually) get new supporters for free.
Any amount to be chipped in to promote a page - Users should be able to chip in any amount of money to promote a cause (i.e. £2.30) not just whole numbers.
Notifications - For the platform to automatically notify creators when a petition is about to be closed due to long periods of inactivity and for the platform notify users when the 48-hour window to remove new signatures is about to expire.
Dashboard settings - Four settings, Active, Victory, Temporarily Closed and Failed. Unless a campaign is active, users must be blocked from removing signatures from any campaign marked as closed or declared as a victory. Users must also be blocked from removing signatures within 48 hours of reaching milestones like 100 signatures.
- Campaign Failed - Used when a campaign quite clearly misses its target, such as the ridiculous petition to replay the UEFA Euro 2020 final and other serious campaigns.
- Victory - Used when a campaign meets its goal.
- Active - Used when creators actively gather signatures.
- Closed - Used when a creator pauses campaign activities or is automatically closed by the platform after long periods of inactivity.
Dashboard Milestones (Who Wants To Be A Millionaire style):
- 5 signatures
- 10 signatures
- 30 signatures
- 50 signatures
- 100 signatures
- 150 signatures
- 200 signatures
- 250 signatures
- 300 signatures
- 400 signatures
- 500 signatures
- 750 signatures
- 1,000 signatures
- 2,000 signatures
- 4,000 signatures
- 8,000 signatures
- 16,000 signatures
- 32,000 signatures
- 64,000 signatures
- 128,000 signatures
- 250,000 signatures
- 500,000 signatures
- 1,000,000 signatures
- 2,000,000 signatures
- 4,000,000 signatures
- 8,000,000 signatures and so forth
The signature count must exclude the creator as they are not a supporter and campaigns with fewer than 5 signatures must be hidden from search results.
Promotions and closing - Campaigns marked as 'Victory', 'Closed' or 'Campaign Failed' must have the "promote petition" feature disabled and conversely, for the 'Close Petition', ‘Declare Victory’ and geographic scope locked during an active promotion. I want there to be a 'Campaign Failed' setting so users can see that the campaign completely missed its target rather than just the generic 'Petition Closed'.
Free promotions - For users without social media, if a specific campaign gains more that 100 signatures within 28 days using only promotions on a specific campaign (excluding organic signatures and signatures that originate from forwarded change.org email updates, this must be given to give users without social media who are unemployed, self-employed or on a low income to level the playing field, though the reward only applies on the same specific campaign (like this one for instance) and would not apply on my main Easter campaign for instance because the 'free promotion' token only applies to a specific campaign. If this reward is not used within 7 days it will expire.
Character limits - for the 100-character to be removed on campaign titles, campaign update titles and for users to be able to underline their updates, as well as the bold and italic features.
For the platform to stop recommending sharing for users and acknowledge the minority who don't have social media accounts - Users without any social media accounts are marginalised and treated as 'second-class citizens' compared to users with such accounts and for sharing to be optional, much like the 'promote petition' feature is an option bonus for already-viral campaigns.
No more email login verification codes, for creators to be able to manually delete their campaigns if they change their opinion without having to contact platform staff and once a campaign is declared as a victory - no more signs saying "only X supporters to the next goal!".
