The Five-Friends Challenge: Get Personal on the Meadow

North Kelvin Meadow and Children's Wood

Why did you personally sign this petition? What got you to follow links, click buttons, even type a message? What makes your blood boil about building on the Meadow? - Can you ignite just five friends in the same way? - What five folk do you know who would sign this petition with a personal invitation? - Which aspect of the whole issue will light their blue touchpaper? We’re doing brilliantly - we have over 2100 signatures and rising. 10,000 and we automatically get a hearing in the Scottish Parliament. Please join the Five Friends Challenge, by making five personal invitations - in person, on the phone, by email or direct message. Social media is great - we can contact a thousand with the press of a button. But it’s the personal touch that really makes the difference. The Meadow and Children’s Wood is all about personal contact, with others, with the land, with ourselves. Why would one of your friends care in the same way? News Update: - The Council are sending all relevant papers through to the Scottish Government today. Government officials then summarise and make a report to the Ministers. It will be the Scottish Ministers themselves who decide whether to call-in, and, ultimately, reject Write to your local MSP to keep up the pressure. - We are holding a public meeting in the old Crosslands bar on Queen Margaret Drive - now called “So, What Comes Next…?” from 8-10pm on Thursday 4th February - for everyone to find out more and see what they could do to help. - Evening Times article yesterday about the land - see below. Now - which Five Friends will you contact personally?
