Scottish Labour MSP Ken McIntosh is hosting a reception at the Scottish Parliament in celebration of the illegal occupation of Palestine. Ken is the Labour Shadow Secretary for Social Justice his brief covers human rights. It is an absolute disgrace that the creation of Israel which expelled over 750,000 Palestinians from their homes is being celebrated at the Scottish Parliament. Jim Murphy shares the same constituency as Ken McIntosh. Jim Murphy is the Champion of Apartheid. He is a member of Labour Friends of Israel and chaired the group in 2001.  We are nearing the end of the General Election campaign; we have heard from the likes of Anas Sarwar that the Labour party once in power are committed to a two state solution.

This kind of celebration highlights that Labour has no intention of a two state solution which requires respect and justice for both sides. Please sign this petition calling on Labour to cancel the reception so that our Parliament is not celebrating the creation of a state which illegally occupies another territory, uses chemical bombs in civilian areas, committed massacres in Sabra and Shatila and only a mere 8 months ago dropped bombs on schools and hospitals in Gaza.
