Clarifying My Experience: NEAD Patients Need Compassionate GP Care

I want to add some clarification and context to my previous update.

I’ve experienced neglect from three different GP practices while living with daily seizures. In my last update, I shared how I was spoken to with rudeness and ignorance when trying to explain my situation. To clarify, my chronic pain and suffering from NEAD have significantly affected my mental health and, at times, left me feeling completely hopeless.

My intention in sharing this is not to focus on the darkest moments, but to show why proper, compassionate care from GP practices is essential. Patients with NEAD and other chronic or misunderstood conditions deserve timely support, understanding, and communication — not dismissal or neglect.
