Hi ALL
Thanks so much for all your kind messages of support and interest in Finlay. As you all know he had a very troubled start to life and it is always nerve wracking looking after an orphan for the first few weeks. We are delighted to report that he is thriving and becoming more confident every day. He is full of life and explores everything. He has incredible instincts and is practicing stalking on everything (including our feet which can be a little painful). A lot of you are clearly very knowledgeable about cats so you will know that Finlay is susceptible to feline diseases until he can be vaccinated at 8 weeks old and so this this limits his outdoor access at the moment. However to make up for it, we have made him an indoor forest full of leaves and branches and all the smells of his forest home. He absolutely loves it and his favourite game is stalking and ‘killing’ leaves. This of course, whilst adorable to watch, is all very important progress on his journey back to the wild where he rightfully belongs. He is developing beautifully and you can see his striped coat markings and ringed tail in the video, which of course are key Scottish wildcat characteristics.
We hope you enjoy the video above and if you want to support our work then you can adopt a Scottish wildcat either for yourself, or as a Christmas gift for a loved one, by visiting:

Many thanks and we will keep the updates coming.
