We are so excited to be able to share this picture with you, it is one of the best images of a Wildcat we have ever seen. It was taken by wildlife cameraman Roman Inauen in a very remote part of Scotland. Roman had set off at 4 am to get some sunrise shots from the top of a mountain when he saw this magnificent wildcat crossing a mountain peak in the snow. Look at the eyes, look at the tail, just awesome. Roman is now going to help us with our monitoring work and try to get some more incredible images like this one. Roman has photographed other cat species all over the world but he said that this encounter was one of the best he has ever had.

Remember the government and other groups will try and convince you that putting cats like this into captivity is the way forward. We could not disagree more and will lay out our reasons why in future updates. Imagine this animal confined in a cage to be gawped at. Too upsetting to contemplate.
