A HUGE thankyou to everyone who has signed our petition and have shared it with their networks. Please please keep up the good work and help us continue to apply pressure to the Scottish Government to reconsider their decision and provide funding to a sector that can do so much to help with the physical and mental health of the Scottish nation.
We are so fortunate to not only have you as one of our supporters, but to also have Mark Beaumont, the Chief Commissioner for Scouts in Scotland, Andrew Sharkey, and Bruce Adamson, the Children's Commissioner. Not to mention a huge range of MSPs from all parties at Holyrood. A wide number of organisations are also supporting this campaign, including the National Parent Teacher Forum, Children 1st and a range of Scottish Governing Bodies for sport. We are enormously grateful to you all for your support.
We have considerable work to do to keep the pressure on the Scottish Government and to ensure that the health, wellbring and life skills of the young people in Scotland become a priority and to that end we have done the following:
1. Posted as much information on social media as we can to show how important outdoor centres are to the health and wealth of Scotland;
2. Engaged regularly and frequently with MSPs keeping them up to date on our work and providing them with the chance to engage with us easily and quickly;
3. Worked at bringing in more and more high profile supporters of our campaign, which helps with gaining more awareness across Scotland, but you remain so important to us too;
4. Continual engagement with the media to ensure as many news items as possible are shared to build our audience and help peopole understand why we are important.
We know that this is not an easy piece of work, but the campaign team are in this for the long term, not just for now, and hope that you will continue to be part of our team and share our work with all those you think may be interested.
Thanks from the bottom of our hearts, and please keep pushing this petition and asking friends and family of all ages to write to their MSPs to tell them how important the residential outdoor experience is for everyone.
