Change Wisconsin laws that make 10 year old children face prison with no proof, or rights!

The Issue

In the state of Wisconsin earlier this year a 10 year old child was charged for a First Degree Reckless Homicide, was questioned by police WITHOUT any parental consent, and really without any actual evidence. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Its never existed in this country, and aren't our children supposed to be our future? But with laws like the ones in Wisconsin treating a child as a criminal?? This is not right her civil rights were violated, they haven't ever thought of it being an accident, I just don't see a child doing something like that on purpose especially a sweet child with no violent history. And second of all, the most screwed up part is that the child's parents tried everything they could to find the child some help with some problems she was having but Wisconsin laws say a child must be 12 years old for any help from the state, but yet she is being tried as an adult at 10, and being treated like a calculated criminal? There must be a change in this country, if we are putting our children in prison without good cause, and just throwing their rights down the drain how are we gonna last? They are our future, and if we put them all away, this country will have no future at all!! The Wisconsin justice system in my opinion are a bunch of American Nazis, they are no better than Hitler if you think about it.. And they say in God we trust but do you really?

I don't think so!!! Maybe you so called ''Christians'' in Wisconsin, and other states that thinks its wise to imprison innocent children, maybe u should read that Bible more!!

God calls children a blessing and a gift! Their spirits are filled with innocence, joy and laughter. Jesus actually tells us to be like children and to come to Him full of faith and trust.
The popular children's song "Jesus Loves the Little Children" reminds us that "all are precious in His sight" and no matter your race, gender or nationality, God wants to see all children come to Him. Jesus died on the cross for all people!

Psalm 127:3-5. 3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.  Matthew 18:10 “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. Psalm 127:3-5 3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. 5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.

I believe that last one says it all!!!!

Children under the age of 14 are protected in virtually every area of the law, except when it comes to the criminal justice system. Over the last 25 years, very young children have been prosecuted as adults in increasing numbers and subjected to very harsh adult sentences. Prosecuting underage children as adults is not only incompatible with the capabilities of young children, but also traumatizing, abusive, cruel, and unusual.
Young children are developmentally incapable of exercising the judgment, maturity, and knowledge necessary to competently defend themselves against criminal prosecution in adult court. The United States Supreme Court has developed clear guidelines for insuring that adults are competent before they are subjected to criminal prosecution, but courts have not developed rules that address the unique characteristics of children, leaving child defendants vulnerable and at great risk in adult court.
Thirteen states in the United States have no minimum age for trying children as adults. Alaska, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia have no minimum age for adult prosecution. Children as young as eight have been prosecuted as adults. Some states set the minimum age at 10, 12, or 13.
Consistent with what adolescent development experts have taught and with what teachers, parents, and child advocates appreciate, young children cannot be prosecuted fairly as adults. And We firmly and fervently believe that this travesty  in this country should finally be BANNED!!
