We are gaining momentum! Will you share the petition today and help us get to 25,000 signers by the weekend? The Washington Post reports today that a group of seven prominent Oklahoma Republicans are joining the call for their state attorney general to drop his lawsuit against Colorado's marijuana legalization laws. http://mppne.ws/1As7LTm In a letter to Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Bruning, the lawmakers warn that if Bruning's lawsuit continues it could “undermine all of those efforts to protect our own state’s right to govern itself.” The letter goes on, “We think the best move at this point would be to quietly drop the action against Colorado, and if necessary, defend the state’s right to set its own policies, as we would hope other states would defend our right to govern ourselves within constitutional confines.” Even Scott Bruning's political colleagues know this lawsuit should be dropped. The people of Colorado, not a neighboring state attorney general, should decide their marijuana policy for themselves, and voters decided to end the failed war on marijuana in Colorado. Now they need our help! Please share the petition and ask your friends to join you in defending Colorado's marijuana legalization laws! Let's get to 25,000 signers before the weekend!
