I want to stop the Adani Carmichael coal mine.

The Coalition has agreed to the mine being built. Although this could lead to lots of coal, it will be bad for the environment.

• This could lead to 60,000 tonnes of coal being shipped over the Great barrier reef annually.
• It will destroy ancestral places without indigenous consent
• It will allow 500 more coal ships to travel through the great barrier reef world heritage area every year for 60 years.
• Get access to 270 billion liters of Queensland's precious groundwater for 60 years, for free.
• Risk damaging aquifers of the Great Artesian Basin.
• Add 4.6 billion tonnes of carbon pollution to our atmosphere.
• It will unlock the Galilee basin, one of the largest untapped coal reserves in the world, and this will lead to 8 more mines being created.

So I hope that you would argue with me that Adani needs to be stopped and sign the petition.
