The undersigned urge state representatives Scott Dianda (D-110), Ed McBroom (R-108) and John Kivela (D-109) to amend state law to require UPPCO to submit a new cost of service case to the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) in accordance with a formula that will reduce residential rates by 25%.  Furthermore, the undersigned urge an additional amendment requiring the MPSC to hold at least one public hearing in the territory of the Upper Peninsula utility prior to issuing any rate increase order.
