Scotiabank Arena Should Give Wristbands or Numbers for Twenty Øne Piløts GA on May 28th

The Issue

On May 28th and 29th of 2019, there will be a Twenty Øne Piløts concert at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. After contacting the venue I have been informed that although fans are allowed to line up at anytime prior to an event (without blocking gates or interfering with any event before) we will not have numbers or wristbands given to us. The lack of wristbands allows for the issue of chaos to arise. With given examples of people sustaining injuries such as broken bones in the rush to get through in the lines. This leads to hazardous behaviour, and being so close to a busy area should only make the idea of wristbands more relevant. These wristbands would allow concertgoers to wait elsewhere in a safer area, while maintaining their spot in the queue so a line itself is not needed. Thus preventing line cutting and arguments or fights during this process. There is no reason as to why this policy can not be put into place now. There are other venues that participate in giving out wristbands and take care of concertgoers/fans. Now is the time that Scotiabank Arena can do the same in support of the safety of their people.
