The Scarsdale Board of Architectural Review voted to hold over the application and NOT approve the plans as submitted by the developer of 4 Kingston Road, Scarsdale.
Thanks to everyone who signed the petition, wrote emails and showed up to the meeting that ended up lasting 1.5 hours as the board found that the plan was not in keeping with the character of the neighborhood, would use cheap quality material and visibly unattractive retaining walls and would not have landscaping that would survive, thrive or look natural or attractive. During the meeting it became clear that the destruction of the hill would cause irreparable financial harm to our property at 171 Brite Ave, in direct conflict with Scarsdale code 18. While the board did not reopen discussion about the changes to the house that were approved at the June meeting it became clear the board was not in favor of the scale of the plan being proposed for the grounds.
The developer withdrew the application from the Zoning Board of appeals for meeting on Wednesday so everyone gets a break from attending this meeting.
I do ask that you CONTINUE to send emails to building@scarsdale.com to voice your opposition to the plan for the BAR and smiller@scarsdale.com or gcutler@scarsdale.com for opposition to the swimming pool because the issue is NOT finished! It is just paused! Please copy me as well at nadler.mark@gmail.com.
Special thanks to my team of experts; Clifford Davis, Esq., my attorney, George Janes, the photo simulator, Michael Stein, the engineer and Gerrie Post Reilly, and Vince FERRANDINO, the urban planners and Alan Green, the appraiser. Please let me know if you would like or need their contact Info.

Best regards,
Mark Nadler, 171 Brite Avenue
