Illinois has people serving extremely long sentences who have spent decades growing, changing, educating themselves, mentoring others, taking responsibility, and working toward becoming better people.
Yet many have no meaningful opportunity to ever demonstrate their rehabilitation.
We believe people deserve the opportunity to be reviewed for who they are today — not judged solely by the worst decision or moment of their past.
This rally is about:
