Hello,

Thank you so much for your support for our petition. Unfortunately, the City ignored the 423 Hawkwood Resident and Business signatures we submitted opposing the 7-Eleven Telus Cell Tower and approved it.  

There is no legal avenue to stop this. Our only chance is to pressure 7-Eleven to back out the lucrative contract they signed with Telus. The last time there was a cell tower proposed near this site by Rogers, the only reason we had success was because the owner of Hawkwood Village felt the pressure of the community and backed out. This looks like our only avenue.

We are organizing a peaceful protest rally on July 26 from 1pm - 4pm outside of 7-Eleven and need as many people as possible to come out and show support for our cause. 

Please see the attached image for information about the rally. As well, please consider writing a letter to the Hawkwood 7-Eleven property owner or calling them to share your opinion. They need to be flooded with feedback.
