Dear Friends,
We're Not Done Yet...but I hardly know where to begin, because my heart is so full.
Last night, the Travelers Rest Planning Commission voted 5–1 to recommend denial of the Inn at Altamont resort proposal. And make no mistake: this victory belongs to you.
It belongs to every single one of you who signed the petition, wore red, spoke at the microphone, stood quietly in support, shared information with your neighbors, or simply cared enough to pay attention.
When I started this petition, I truly thought I might gather 200 signatures, just enough to show there was concern. I never could have imagined it would grow into a movement. But it did, because you showed up. Because you believed this mountain and this town were worth standing up for.
Last night wasn’t just about one vote. It was about showing what’s possible when a community refuses to be overlooked. When everyday people, from all walks of life, link arms and say: "We love this place, and we’re not letting it go without a fight."
The news is already spreading far and wide!

Because of you, Paris Mountain’s story is being told; and celebrated.
I’ve lived in this area for 35 of my 40 years (I went to college at the UofSC). I didn’t set out to be a voice in this. I simply followed my heart and found myself surrounded by the most extraordinary group of people, each fighting for the same thing in their own way. You reminded me what real community looks like. You reminded me that hope is not naive...it’s necessary.
🌟 And we’re not done yet.
The final decision now moves to Travelers Rest City Council.

🔴Wear RED again to show our unity and strength.
We will show up again. We will stand together again.
And we will keep protecting the places that make this town home.
From the bottom of my heart:
Thank you for being part of this. Thank you for believing in what we can do when we stand together.
With love and gratitude,
Casey Jo
