Despite empty promises, no information was provided by our elected representatives, which was very disappointing and frankly, we expect more.  We still have no definite drawings.

Thank you Will Simon, Greens Candidate for Petrie, for attending and for your support.

Everyone agreed there was insufficient justification for the pedestrian overpass.

The group was unanimous that the overpass would not be utilised.

It was felt the 3 primary schools along the same road (Clontarf Beach Primary, Kippa Ring State School and Hercules Road State School with 6 lanes of traffic) were more deserving of a safety upgrade by pedestrian overpass.  Will this overpass set a precedent for all schools on major roads?

Please sign the petition if you haven't already, as we need numbers to get our voices heard and then share with your friends, family and groups.

If you have already signed, what can you do?   Please write/email your state and federal members demanding project details and drawings.  Let them know that you don't think the project funding is justified, that we need community consultation, that we agree that intersection safety upgrade is warranted, but do not agree to the pedestrian overpass.
