Hey Everyone, 

Here is a picture of the extension from the proposed S. Tempe St. roundabout (currently an almost 45 degree curve) with a bridge over E-470 to E. Belleview Ave.   This proposed extension will be a 4-lane road and cuts right through the only major trail system in our area, the High Plains Trail.  Also, the roundabout would be right next to the Saddle Rock Ridge covered playground.  This will greatly impact the people that use the High Plains Trail and the playground making both unpleasant and dangerous.  

Do you use the High Plains Trail?  Can you imagine having to cross a 4-lane crosswalk with your kids and/or pets right where it Ts at the top of the hill?  What about having a roundabout right behind the Saddle Rock Ridge covered playground?

Arapahoe County estimates the extension to cost $1.7 million.  Currently, they don't have the funding for this project, but it is in their 2040 plan.
