Shapley Heath "Garden Village" is a proposed monstrosity of a development that will build up to 10,000 homes in a huge area of land, effectively joining the towns of Fleet, Hartley Wintney and Hook. Despite the build being rejected by the inspector and removed from the local plan, Community Campaign Hart are pushing forward with the project, ignoring the ever growing amount of objections from the local community - and local Councillors, many of whom strongly object to this and feel that their voices are going unheard. The signees of this petition are residents of Hart, who do not want to see their towns - that are already struggling - to face additional pressures with lack of infrastructure and increased pressure on local services, including schools and doctors surgeries. A development of this size should involve the opinions of those who will have to live with the consequences of it, not just a few Councillors who have chosen not to listen. We hope you listen now.
