“Don’t eat me, you choke or worse yet poisoned by me.”

—The Slaughterhouse Pig

This is the unspoken plea that I imagine pigs say as they are being slaughtered in a most inhumane manner.  These words ring in my ears every time I see someone order pork from their menu, or see a fast food chain commercial touting their new burgers or sandwiches with bacon. Then I begin to wonder what the pandemic taught us as we face issues with food contamination and countless COVID deaths that maybe we would consider this is an opportunity to live a healthier life.

Everywhere in our world is being threatened by climate change, pollution, and unsuited environments. Meat plants stand at the front of these environments for over a century, injecting our society with viruses due to their bending of food safety rules and regulations, all in the name of greed. What we eat influences the very core of obtaining a healthy body and spirit, it impacts our behavior, how we live, breathe, and even think.

A dear friend of mine shared an article of good news with me, the other day that says it proves the validity of my “Say No to Poison, Say No to Pork” campaign when it comes to meat processing plants. Take a look at the attached article.

By now, you already know that MERS and SARS are coronaviruses that spread from animals to people. Pigs havegreatly contributed to these viruses and, in fact, these animals have suffered from COVID for a long time (we’ve have covered this topic in previous Change.org updates). Since meat-processing plants are contributing to the very existence of COVID, we will never truly reach the end of this pandemic. Weneed to eliminate the consumption of pork and focus on their main environmental purpose: to eliminate waste. After all, pigs are designed to be living garbage disposals.

PETA is one of those organizations that has long been outspoken about animal rights and remains on high alert about the poison of eating unhealthy meat. I admire this billboard advertisingcampaign PETA launched. I hope it makes an impact because it is the reality of the cruelty we are living with today.

Until a better reality comes to the forefront, you might want to think twice before ordering or cooking with unhealthy meats. If you value your loved ones and family, longevity and healthy living are not bad ideas. After all, don’t you want to spend time on earth knowing that the future is brighter for humanity?

Spread the word…Share your thoughts and post this campaign on your social media.

Say No to Poison, Say No to Pork.

Best Regards,
WAFA
