Indus River of Pakistan is the 2nd biggest oceanic plastic polluter and it is primarily due to massive invasion of single use plastic bags. Furthermore, the urban live of Pakistan is facing devastating consequences as plastic bags chocks sewerage & drainage systems. The loss of human lives in Karachi’s moon soon floods is once such devastation. Government legislation alone is not enough, cultural & behavioral sides of consumer needs to be reformed.
