Quick reminder not to donate on any change.org site/message. People are still donating when they sign the petition. Your donation here DOES NOT benefit our plight. We don't get one penny of any money you give when you sign the petition, it goes into running the petition hosting website.
When I created the petition on June 17, 2023 I did so with the belief that with enough signatures, OREA might be receptive to having a dialogue. I naively thought they would be interested in hearing the anxious voices of those who will be most affected by this mandate. To date, OREA has not shown any sign they are genuinely interested in having their members backs.
There are those who are mocking our fight for independence by adding ficticious names to the petition and proclaiming it doesn't mean anything, that anyone can sign. I'm actually kind of flattered that what we've done here is causing people to try to sabotage our efforts.
Tonight I ask you to share the petition link. Share the GoFundMe link. Tell people you're mad. Don't give up fighting this. Because the minute we quit is the minute we leave ourselves open to more restrictions, more mandates and less autonomy.
