245+ NEIGHBORS HAVE ALREADY SAID NO TO LOW BRIDGES ON THE CORAL GABLES WATERWAY
I'd like to thank all of my waterway neighbors for their support and encouraging words. On Saturday my family and I decided to go house to house across all of the waterway homes north of US1. Either we spoke to you about the low bridge issue or we left a petition flyer on your door or mailbox. To date we have over 245+ neighbors and/or waterway friends that have signed the petition in support of NO LOW BRIDGES ON THE CORAL GABLES WATERWAY.
We very much enjoyed meeting our neighbors and wish we would have done this sooner as it was great to learn about everyone beyond this petition. I'm not a politician, nor do I aspire to ever be one. I'm also not paid to do this on behalf of anyone. Thank goodness that I don't need anyone's money as I have my own. What I am is "pissed"! And, I'm "pissed" enough to do something about it and make sure our leaders act in the best interest of the residents of the Coral Gables Waterway and City.
Please share our petition to all your friends and neighbors that enjoy the waterway as our City founder George Merrick intended- i.e. a safe and unobstructed navigable waterway for all.
Also, I intend to present our petition on February 11 at 11am at the City of Coral Gables Commission Meeting which will be held at :
2151 Salzedo Street, Coral Gables
Police & Fire HQ , Community Meeting Room
Join me that day to also express your views directly to the Mayor and Commissioners as they will be taking a vote that day on the project. Our issue is scheduled to be heard at 11am.
Thanks again for your help and support!
