My name is Jason and I am part of the Decision Maker Outreach team at Change.org. Our mission is to foster greater engagement between petition supporters and public officials to help create more impact and drive meaningful change.

Good afternoon,

On behalf of the Board of Education, thank you for contacting us to share the change.org petition and feedback on the Crown/Damascus Boundary Study options.  This input plays a vital role in ensuring that our decisions reflect the priorities, concerns, and values of the communities we serve. 

Please share with those signing the petition that we would like them to visit the initial options webpage for the opening of Crown High School and the expansion of Damascus High School on the MCPS Boundary Study webpage and provide meaningful feedback on the initial options via the survey.
 
We recognize that changes to school boundaries can impact families and neighborhoods. The feedback from our constituents will provide valuable insight into the diverse perspectives and needs that must be balanced in this process.  

We will carefully review all feedback and data to evaluate how each option aligns with the factors outlined in Policy FAA, Educational Facilities Planning.  

While no option will meet every need perfectly, please know that this feedback is critically important in shaping the direction of our discussions and decisions.
