World Leaders cannot ignore the science! Say NO to deep-sea mining

Following on from our successful petition hand-over to the Dutch Parliament, Farah Obaidullah of Women4Oceans was invited to talk about the perils of deep-sea mining on a talk-show. 'We don't need to go 4-6 km into the ocean depths, destroy wildlife we have yet to discover, disrupt ocean ecosystem services and start a new gold rush in an area where accountability will be next to none.' - Farah Obaidullah
The talk show was recorded and you can view it here (in Dutch). Alongside Farah was an economist from ABN AMRO bank as well as a Professor and circular economy specialist from the University of Leiden. The consensus among the experts is that we don't need to mine the deep-sea!
A representative from industry (the company AllSeas) cancelled their participation just days before the event.
The Dutch government and all world leaders must say no to deep-sea mining!
Thanks to YOU we are getting attention for this important issue. Politicians and decision makers cannot ignore the experts and they cannot ignore the people!
Keep sharing the petition!
