Global Ocean Treaty agreed! A HUGE victory. Next we must step up and stop deep-sea mining!

Breaking News for the Ocean! After more than a decade of campaigning to protect life on the High Seas, we now have a Global Ocean Treaty! This treaty will make it harder for ecocidal industries such as deep-sea mining in international waters to go ahead. Any nation that pushes to open the deep-sea to reckless exploitation for minerals will be undermining this new treaty designed to protect life. This is a HUGE victory for the ocean. So take a moment and celebrate!

BUT there is still much work to be done to stop deep-sea mining in its tracks.
