Public Notice – Third Public Exhibition Period (Thursday 24 November 2016 to 5pm, Tuesday 3 January 2017) – Blantyre Farms DA (Intensive Factory Farm Piggery) – Hilltops Council (Harden, NSW Shire). Our ‘Say No To Blantyre Farms In Harden’ campaign has now been running for almost 12 months. During this period we have continued to successfully challenge and oppose the Blantyre Farms proposal for a duplicate intensive factory farm piggery (25,000 pigs), by focussing on all the risks and impacts to Animals, the Environment and People. We have now entered our most critical campaign period and we need your support and help. We have continued to ensure thousands of objections have been lodged with council (round 1 & 2 public exhibition period). We have continued to ensure that all aspects of this intensive piggery proposal have been assessed in a vigorous manner by council and the relevant government agencies. Because as a united group, we have ensured all Animal, Environmental and People risks and impacts have remained prominent, Edwina & Michael Beveridge of Blantyre Farms were required to submit new and additional information in response to numerous concerns and issues raised by council and the relevant state government agencies. The new and additional information is now available on council’s website and has required council to enter into a third public exhibition period which will conclude on 3 January 2017. http://hilltops.nsw.gov.au/development-proposal-blantyre-farms/ We will for the third time unite with other likeminded groups and organisations and will compile an objection on behalf of our Say No To Blantyre Farms In Harden campaign. We will also for the third time compile an objection template guide to assist others who wish to lodge an objection for the sake of the Animals, the Environment and People.
