Please take an hour of your time to voice and stand up against BESS. This isnt just about our families but the generations that will come after us.
Industrial battery facilities come with severe, documented safety risks. Incidents worldwide show that factors like extreme weather, freezing temperatures, corrosion, and even animal intrusion can destabilize these systems and trigger catastrophic 'thermal runaway' fires. For Angelica, a failure like this would be devastating. The toxic heavy metal runoff from a chemical fire directly threatens our agricultural lands, the Genesee River, local watersheds, and the private well water our families rely on every day. We need to fight to keep them out, or mandate very strict regulations and testing to ensure our safety.
