Congratulations!

The people of Melbourne have once again shown their engagement and desire to attend the EPA conference in person to voice their concerns about this toxic proposal.

First, we submitted submissions to the EPA (764 received).

Then, we expressed interest in attending a conference.

After that, the EPA requested an RSVP to the event.

Now, we are told that they will only accommodate 120 people because that is all the venue can hold. They will turn away people if more than 120 show up.

Instead of finding a venue that can cater to everyone who registered, they have decided to hold an online conference at a later date. THIS WILL NOT DO!

We know that elderly people who are not tech-savvy, those with poor internet connections, and those with language barriers will be disadvantaged by this arrangement. From personal experience, we also know that these online meetings are far from ideal. The EPA will control who can ask questions, and only a limited number of people will be permitted to do so. This means your questions are unlikely to be answered.

Contact the EPA and demand that they either find a bigger venue or hold multiple in-person conferences so that everyone who wishes to attend can do so!
