I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has signed and shared this petition.

We have now reached an incredible 285 signatures, which clearly demonstrates the strength of feeling within our community regarding Planning Application 26/02350/FUL at Hope Church, 52 Laburnum Drive.

Your support has not gone unnoticed.

Since launching the petition, I have been actively raising residents’ concerns by contacting:

Shropshire Council’s Planning Department.
The Planning Case Officer.
The Development Manager.
Our local councillors.
North Shropshire MP Helen Morgan.
The planning agent acting on behalf of the applicant.
Local media, to help ensure the community’s voice is heard.
The petition has now been submitted to Shropshire Council and I have asked that it be included on the official planning file and considered before any decision is made.

Throughout this campaign, my focus has been on ensuring that residents have a meaningful voice in the planning process. The concerns raised include the scale of the proposed development, parking, highway safety, residential amenity, privacy, and the impact on the character of our neighbourhood.

No decision has yet been made, so there is still time for residents to make their views known by submitting comments to Shropshire Council if they have not already done so.

I will continue to keep everyone updated as soon as there are any developments.
