The Right to Information, a beacon of hope,
For those seeking truth, a way to cope,
But now, a proposed DPDP amendment looms,
Threatening transparency, and the people's rights consumes.

Why tamper with a law so just,
That gives the weak, a voice to trust,
Why take away the power of the masses,
And leave them in the hands of the classes.

RTI has brought forth many a change,
Corruption exposed, power rearranged, 
But now, a new threat to its existence,
Why take away the people's persistence.

Let the RTI act remain intact, 
A symbol of democracy, never to be sacked, 
For the people's right to know, is non-negotiable,
And any attempt to change it, highly deplorable.
