So yesterday was interesting... Made some flyers and our young riders took to the streets, delivering them to the residents of some of the areas that will be affected when we are riding on the roads.
Met lots of lovely people who were unaware that this was happening and were shocked that these girls (between 6-16) will have no option but to ride a lengthy detour on the roads when there is a safer alternative being closed off.
Then walked the perimeter of the woods to photograph the blockades that have been put in place to prevent us getting in. These are now in place at every single access point into the woods.... and yes, that is a live tree that was felled by the council, to block our route!
As you can see from the pictures (and admirably demonstrated by my family) these barricades are barely large enough for a person to get through and certainly not someone with mobility issues or using a buggy or pram.

We are so overwhelmed by the messages of support from everyone who has signed so far. Please keep sharing our message - We need the council to see the strength of support from riders, residents, drivers and other users of the forest.
