Petition updateSave Hanazuki: Full of Treasures! The next steps for #SaveHanazuki in 2025!

2024 has been a year of radio silence for the #SaveHanazuki Movement, but the efforts to bring back this cult classic show will not be silenced in vain by Hasbro, even if they are shifting focus to game development and digital entertainment following the box office underperformance of Transformers One leading to the toy company to stop co-financing future films based on its IP's.

Furthermore, Tony Vinciquerra, the Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures, of whom I am targeting for the movement, announced he will be stepping down as CEO and will be replaced by Ravi Ahuja, who is the president of Sony Pictures itself and the President of Sony Pictures Television.

More importantly however, if there is a chance Sony could be in line to acquire the IP rights to Hanazuki, I will make an additional update on the subject matter. but for right now, with the Christmas holiday coming up, I am taking a break for right now. Sorry if I held this movement on hiatus, as I have family to focus on and my dad's health issues. But Moonflower Moods willing that I will be back to this movement.

On the day of Ahuja's first day in office as CEO of Sony Pictures (January 2, 2025), i will be sending a letter to SPE headquarters in Culver City to have Sony acquire the IP rights to Hanazuki from Hasbro, with Hanazuki co-creator Hanneke Metsellar (if I could convince her) to send SPE  a message to them over Hanazuki. I will also be doing a dedicated fan panel at the OMG!con anime convention in June 2025 where I will be showcasing select episodes of the show and getting people into Hanazuki and to boost this petition.

Just like any flower that can rise again, Hanazuki will inevitably return, even if for the franchise's 10th anniversary in 2027. May the Moonflower Moods shine upon us all!
