Updated information.  According to administrators from a Black Lightning private Facebook group that is connected to the show, production reports the network did not cancel the show willingly. Allegedly, the lead actor, Cress Williams did not want to continue to do the show.  Network executives reluctantly canceled the show because they did not want to recast for the lead role of Black Lightning and attempted to keep Cress on with no success... This has NOT been verified by the actor or other officials connected to the show at this time.
