Hi, friends!

I hope everyone is having a happy and healthy new year! I can't believe it's already March 2024. The NCAA "March Stabness" is underway and the Paris Olympics are just around the corner! Congratulations to everyone, from the littlest Y8 to the wisest Veteran, for an exceptional fencing season so far! We've had so much fun competing alongside you and cheering you on!

Just a super quick update as USA Fencing continues to roll-out schedules for our National Events calendar. While we greatly appreciate the hard work of our corporate officers, resource teams, volunteers and committee members in organizing these events, many of us "on the ground" (coaches, fencers, parents & club owners) have concerns about scheduling and logistics.

To address these concerns, I would like to draw your attention to a petition started by my good friend Igor Chirashnya. You can read, sign and share the petition here:

USA Fencing National Events Scheduling & Logistics

I signed Igor's petition because I believe that USA Fencing needs more involvement from us (We the People!) in events calendaring and logistics. I know that not everyone will agree on the layout of every event schedule - but neither perfection nor platitude is the goal.

The goal is to make sure that good information gets into the hands of the right people before big decisions are made.

Our organization is growing. And an organization is only as good as the will and human capital of its membership. If we want to continue to improve our beloved sport, we must be willing to participate, give, volunteer & make our voices heard.

To that end, you can find information about making a donation to USA Fencing here.

You can also find more information about the current USA Fencing Committee membership here.

And don't forget to follow USA Fencing on social media as we rock and roll towards Paris!

Hoping to see you all very soon.

Thank you, as always, for all that you do for fencing and GO TEAM USA!!!!!!
