After a month of outcry and pushback, the Penn State Board of Trustees has reversed their decision on the fate of WPSU: https://www.psu.edu/news/administration/story/penn-state-board-trustees-approves-new-deal-wpsu
This could not have been achieved without all of you. I know I keep saying viewers like us, but that's just the thing; it is viewers like US. This petition represents 45 countries across six continents, all brought together in the hopes of saving WPSU, which represents local and reliable news, the promotion of children's education, and the general mission of understanding other cultures. WPSU is how communications students, meteorology students, and many others learn how to do their future careers. WPSU is part of the fabric of the Penn State story and it will live on through WHYY in Philadelphia. Thank you for your support through signatures, shares, donations, and comments about how much WPSU, PBS, and NPR mean to all of you. Mister Rogers, Miss Frizzle, our friends at Sesame Street, and Levar Burton would be proud.
