We had a very successful launch of the campaign at the library this afternoon, with 48 people physically signing our petition.  A large number of junior school children came later in the afternoon and the press were there to speak with the organisers and local residents about the campaign.  We estimate about 85 people attended this afternoon over the two hour session, which shows how loved the library is in the community.

We have some great ideas from those who came about alternative events to organise in the library and more people want to get involved in the Woodston Library friends group to be more active in the campaign.

We will hold our second campaign event this Saturday, 2-4 pm at the library where you can meet with the organisers and if you wish, become more involved.
