Happy New Year Woodcot supporters! As you can see the petition is still getting signatures on a daily basis and we are well on our way to 4,000 signatures….. thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. We also now have a dedicated bank account for anyone who wants to help - many thanks to the very generous donations already given. We are grateful and all donations will go to support the campaign costs, please spread the petition, facebook page and you tube  channel  far and wide to do everything possible to Save Woodcot from being sold.

Now onto Woodcot  business….

As you know from the last update posted on here;  the campaign has reached Buckingham Palace - although we haven't yet received a response from His Majesty  - we have been wondering what it will be when it finally comes…..

While we are waiting for the King’s response,  we hope that he might bear in mind  ALL the words of the National Anthem that we and his subjects all over the world sing to him on special occasions,   in the hope that he might live up to them….and bear them in mind   when it comes to Woodcot.

The words of the lesser known verses make for interesting reading, particularly the last verse - where we ask him to defend our laws….take a look…

 God save our gracious King,
Long live our noble King,
God save the King!
Send him victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us,
God save the King!

O Lord our God arise,
Scatter our enemies,
And make them fall!
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On Thee our hopes we fix,
God save us all!

Not in this land alone,
But be God’s mercies known,
From shore to shore!
Lord make the nations see,
That men should brothers be,
And form one family,
The wide world o’er.

From every latent foe,
From the assassins blow,
God save the King!
O’er his thine arm extend,
For Britain’s sake defend,
Our father, prince, and friend,
God save the King!

Thy choicest gifts in store,
On him be pleased to pour,
Long may he reign!
May he defend our laws,
And ever give us cause,
To sing with heart and voice,
God save the King!

Oh the irony;  the conflict of interests of the monarch who is supposed to defend our laws, whilst  at the same time being  the patron of a charity which is currently planning to overturn a legal covenant.

You couldn’t make it up - You don't have to because it's real.

Welcome to Britain 2026.
