AELTC applied late last year (2022) to remove 19 trees and "scrub" on the golf course - apparently jumping the gun in advance of the Merton and Wandsworth planning committees hearing their plans to build on the golf course.
Dr. Dave Dawson, our local Environment Scientist, objected, as did The Wimbledon Society.
The Merton Planning Department has refused this application with a number of very critical comments. See the SWP website for the Merton letter in full and the objection sent by Dr. Dawson.
The great news is that we now have around 7,500 signatures on our petition !
