Our newly-constituted community group Friends of Western Harbour Ponds will be hosting a Public Meeting on Sunday 26 November 2023 at 2.30pm at The Heart of Newhaven (Anchor East room). All welcome. Facebook event listing here.

LATEST UPDATE ON OWNERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT PLANS:

Developer FM Group has come forward as a prospective buyer and in Oct 2023 began the pre-planning consultation process. Its proposal is to build a high-density apartment block and townhouses on one of the woodland plots (A1) in the first instance, with an eye on developing the other Ponds too. 

The second pre-application consultation event is scheduled to take place on 28 November 2023, 4pm-7pm at Leith Library, though the venue may change. It is open to all.
