Next LANDMARKING HEARING for Walker's Cafe scheduled for next Thursday, March 17th!
Dear friends of Walker’s Cafe,
Thanks so much for joining the more than 2,700 people who have signed the petition urging the city to save Walker’s Cafe for future generations.
We’re excited to share that the second and final Cultural Heritage Commission hearing has been scheduled for next Thursday, March 17th at 10 am. At this hearing, the Commission will decide whether the property should be landmarked, so this is a very important moment! This hearing will be open for public comment. Please join us to share your thoughts and feelings about what Walker’s means to you and the community. Here’s how to give public comment:
- Via Zoom: Use the login information provided above. Following the Commission President calling the item, click the “Raise Hand” button at the bottom of your screen. Commission Office staff will call your name, if available, when it is your turn to speak. You will see a prompt stating, “The host would like to unmute you.” Please click on “Unmute.”
- Via phone: Call (213) 338-8477 or (669) 900-9128 and use Meeting ID: 891 7901 6331 and then press #. Press # again when prompted for Participant ID. You may use the passcode: 896583. To comment on an agenda item, press *9 to “raise your hand” virtually following the Commission President calling the item. Commission staff will call upon speakers using the last four digits of the phone number, if available.
