Good news about Gresham's Urban Forestry Subcommittee!
GOOD NEWS!!!
The Urban Forestry Subcommittee (UFS) IS NO LONGER UNDER THREAT OF SHUTDOWN. Our acting chair met with city officials today and they assured him that CCACs (Council Citizen Advisory Committees—of which UFS is one) are back to being active and there is no date for further review or reconfiguration. He shared with them that UFS is open to exploring activities for which task forces or ad hoc committees make sense, like tree plantings. The city officials indicated that UFS can now recruit to regain membership in the committee.
We will begin working on more goals, like having an arborist (or arborists) on staff in city government.
