2500+ signatures

Safe & Scenic Toodyay Roads
Nov 4, 2021

Over 2500 people have signed our petition! That's over 2500 emails sent to politicians showing our opposition to the unnecessary clearing of vegetation through roadworks along Toodyay Road. We are incredibly grateful for your support!

You might not be aware, but it's not just about these amazing old-growth trees but also there is a diverse range of plants (some priority plants, including Beaufortia purpurea), a spring and also an amazing 300 + metre section that is saturated with native orchids.

Along this section you can find Dancing Spider Orchids, Wandoo Beard Orchids, Donkey Orchids, Pink Fairies, Cowslips, Greehoods and a huge stand of Scented Sun orchids, seen below with the Mignonette Orchids that are flowering at the moment.

Please help us by sharing the petition. We will also be at the next Toodyay Farmer's Market on November 21st if you want to sign the petition directed to the legislative council.

Another way to support the environment is by directly emailing The Minister of Transport. She seems to think that the community are supportive of the upgrades. She is wrong. Have a read of this article and send her an email to say otherwise:

Thank you!
