280+ Signatures Smashed! Former Premier Backs Us as We Target Parramatta Council for Support.

Dear Supporters,

What an incredible weekend!   In just a few days since launching, our grassroots campaign has completely surged, smashing past 280+ verified signatures! This momentum is a direct testament to how much our community values our local Cadets, veteran networks, and emergency services.

We have a massive structural update to share that completely changes the political landscape of this campaign:

1. Former NSW Premier Endorsement Locked In
The Hon. Dominic Perrottet, former Premier of NSW and former Member for Epping, has officially and publicly backed our campaign. As a former 322 Squadron parent himself, he has authorised us to publish the following statement to lead our charge:

"As a former 322 Squadron parent, I fully support Phil Hickman and the local community in their campaign to protect Timor Barracks and safeguard the future of our local Cadets and Reserve units."
— The Hon. Dominic Perrottet, Former Premier of NSW & Former Member for Epping

Dom is actively engaging his senior networks in Macquarie Street over the weekend to support our pushback.

2. Securing a Secure Shield for Our Kids
As we prepare to address the City of Parramatta Council to demand a pre-emptive residential re-zoning freeze, we are armed with an unassailable security argument.
Some of you will remember the 2016 counter-terrorism sting where an extremist cell actively conducted physical reconnaissance and scouting operations on Timor Barracks.  During the Supreme Court trial, it was revealed the offender intended to launch a mass-casualty assault on the personnel inside.
The physical security architecture of Timor Barracks, its access controls, fortified perimeter, and gated military defense protocols, acted as a total deterrent, keeping our youth completely insulated and safe.
If the Federal Government proceeds with this real estate "fire sale," they are stripping away this secure shield.  Forcing volunteer staff to lead nearly 200 local school children on open public ovals or inside unfortified community halls turns a secure program into an exposed soft target.  Mitigating security risks on an open public field is an operational impossibility. We refuse to let the government gamble with our children's physical safety for a short-term property developer profit.

3. Moving Fast Across All Fronts
Federal Pressure: Local Federal MP Alex Hawke has officially broken his silence, called me directly, and confirmed he is working behind closed doors with Ministers to get Timor Barracks completely withdrawn from the sale list.
Local Motion Initiated: Senior Parramatta Labor Councillor Cr Dr Patricia Prociv has officially initiated the council machinery to table a formal motion backing our re-zoning blockade.
Media Launching: Former Police Minister David Elliott is fully briefed and preparing to launch this specific Cadet eviction and zoning battle onto 2GB talkback radio this coming Thursday afternoon.

Our Next Target: 500 Signatures
We have the momentum, the facts, and the high-level backing—but numbers on the page are what give us our teeth. Please take 10 seconds to text, email, or post our petition link to three friends or relatives today:

Let's flood the dashboard before David Elliott steps into the 2GB studio this Thursday.
Thank you all for standing with our Cadets and Reservists.

Warm regards,
