The signatures are rolling in! I have had a conversation with the mayor, council members, the head of the Historic Preservation Committee, and perhaps most importantly the builder, Steve McCann. Steve was very gracious and expects to meet with the HPC next week. Steve is one of a few builders that I can think of that has the skill set and talent to take this project on. It does need extensive work much like the fully restored 18th century home we recently sold on Ridgedale Ave that turned out amazing and profitable for our client. It can be done! I’m hopeful that Steve and his family are the ones that will do it. They could truly cement their place in Madison history as the family that restored one of Madison’s historic gems. Please send a message to the Madison community that you care about keeping this town a special place by preserving cool structures that date to the birth or our country.
