You may have seen the incredible PR in the Guardian and elsewhere for the "modern" "scientific" nuclear industry courtesy of a Swedish teenager trying to shame Greenpeace EU for its "old-fashioned" opposition to nuclear. 

This has been described as a case of the naive being led by the nefarious. 

The student is part of "Re-Planet" the set up fund was from Bill Gates' Rodel Foundation. Ongoing funds for Re-Planet come from Quadrature Climate Foundation established by Quadrature Capital who have tens of £millions in fossil fuel companies carrying out massively damaging drilling operations in areas such as the Arctic and also have interests in the military. 

In the same week as the teenagers letter to Greenpeace was featured in the national press the Swedish government  overturned their long held ban on uranium mining. Deposits of uranium are found largely in the wilderness areas of Sweden, the very areas necessary to the livlihoods of the indigenous "old fashioned" people of Sweden, the Sami. 

I wrote a letter to the Guardian but havn't seen it published - maybe others will have more luck in rebutting this nasty PR for nuclear.
