Thank you to All who came to our Whitehaven Rally to hand in the petition to Copeland Borough Council and Nuclear Waste Services.   We were accompanied by Wild Chorus the amazing singing group who specialise in wild places and it doesn't get any wilder than a windy Whitehaven dressed in nuclear waste barrel costumes!  The nuclear industry are trying to play down their seismic testing saying it is the same as the wind industry - there is a BIG difference the wind industry have to go through a regulatory regime and scrutiny - there has been no public scrutiny or proper Environmental Impact Assessments for this plan for which the nuclear waste industry backed by the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy have given themselves an "exemption."   No other industry would get away with this.   The petition will be kept open to give to the Marine Management Organisation at a later date.
