We've contacted the IRS about our 1023 application to become a 501c(3) nonprofit. They should have a decision made by the September 14th, 2019 at the very latest. Very possible it will earlier but that's their deadline.

Many of you have commented as to why we've not started fundraising yet. Two main reasons.

1) All donations given to us without that 501c(3) nonprofit status wouldn't be tax deductible for individual and business donors.

2) Without that 501c(3) nonprofit status we would have to pay taxes on all donations given to us.

So until we are approved by the IRS we will keep networking, building our ranks, and preparing for a successful major fundraising campaign.
